Hello Andre,
Remember Sanctuary Cove?
It’s good that we both learned something and are still trading.
Ken
Oh wow! Ken! How are you? So great to hear from you and to know you’re still trading too. Yes I remember Sanctuary Cove. That was some good times.
I’ve been riding this latest wave of votility in the market lately. I sold out of all the short term stuff a month or so ago so I can deploy them to my long term investments.
I was with Self Wealth and switched to Saxo so I could do Market on Close Orders. Using Saxo Trader Go, I have purchased a number of positions using MOC orders, okay - using ‘algo’ then ‘MOC’, but cannot seem to find out how to sell using MOC. I feel this will be essential when trading on the USA market, so I don’t have to stay awake in the middle of the night.
I found ‘MOC’ Buy orders using Saxo Trader Go. But not MOC Sell. They have 'Limi’t and ‘market’ Sell orders only.
Has someone tried the Saxo Trader Pro?
Is that available for Individal SMSF?
Costs?
MOC Buys and Sells?
Thanks
Hi Leanne,
You can, but it’s a little counterintuitive, as you need to right click on your share / ETF and select ‘New Trade’, then select Algo / MoC and can select ‘Sell’.
You can do this same method via either Trader Go or Trader Pro.
I use Trader Pro almost every day for my SMSF Portfolio, although the trades (via Saxo) are expensive for an SMSF.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Graeme.
Hi Leanne,
I have only just setup Saxo trader go also. I see what you mean with a MOC sell.
I searched for the stock under the search tap
Clicked trade then changed from buy to sell.
Hopefully the attached photo help.
(I haven’t tried this yet as I haven’t had a sell signal, I just looked it up to check for you)
Thanks James
Thanks Graeme,
I was worried that I could end up with a short position as well as a long position, but as you have experience, I feel much more comfortable giving it a try. Thanks
Thanks James,
It is nice to have such supportive people on this site.
Thanks.
I tried editing an earlier post but I probably pressed the wrong button.
I have been using Saxo for awhile now using MOC for both buy and sell orders. All I do is change the Buy to Sell.
Thanks. I will give a try next time I need to close a position. Much appreciated.
