Hi Gary and team I always thought Investor should be used as the core of your investments and other products as satellite but in the latest webinar it was suggested investor was a satellite product ??
What should we be using as our core holdings ??
Ralph,
Here is the slide from the MMM webinar that I did on Wednesday:
There are fixed rules until you define them but the rule of thumb is that Core is passive or near as dammit to passive.
And Satellites are active.
Thanks Gary after much thought I believe the core asset could be an index eft using the investor trailing stop ???
Any thoughts please and do you have a favourite index eft ?
Regards
Ralph
investor
SPA3 Investor is a medium to longer term trading system.
IMO it is not long-term enough to use in the Core on a single ETF.
As to which single ETF, it wouldn’t be a good idea to pick just one. This is too long an answer to provide here.
If you wish to use timing in the Core, SPA3 Investor can be considered in it’s proper manner with multiple open stocks positions.
There is plenty of generic information of the Core & Satellite Asset Allocation on the interent.
HMM so we are back where I started using investor as the core maybe I need to do more study.
Thanks for your input Gary I am learning so much
Doing some simulations and it seems the max drawdown for Invstor and Income are very similar over 10 years interesting
